SDLG makes the grade

SDLG is seeing growing demand for its equipment from road-building sectors in many of its key markets. “Our customers are looking for reliable support for their machines to help them meet ever bigger challenges,” says Yu Mengsheng, president of SDLG. “By working with an established dealer network that includes experienced service technicians, we can offer dedicated maintenance to complement our fast parts availability,” he says.

The G9190 grader has been extremely popular India, where the country’s government is pushing through an ambitious road building initiative that will see 30 km of new roads built a day over the course of 2016. Wider availability of the unit is planned in future and the next market scheduled for introduction is Turkey.

The G9190 features a 3 658 mm moldboard as standard for wider grade coverage, as well as the SD70B stage III engine. The low-noise engine is perfectly matched to the grader’s electro-hydraulic transmission control system, allowing the operator to select the correct gear, depending on load, for optimum efficiency and power.

With optimised weight distribution, the machine has a 82kN tractive force, while its blade is operated via the unit’s Moveable Blade Control System. The blade can rotate through a full 360° and incline up to a 90° gradient. It also a down force of 8 386 kg to maximise the cut depth without front-end drift.

Another drawcard at the company’s show was the B877 backhoe loader.

The B877 features a 70kW engine with hydraulic torque converter and synchronised four-speed transmission which can reach speeds of up to 38km/h. It comes with a special front-steering drive axle and a rigid drive axle with closed wet brake, together with an electronic differential lock for better traction in tricky conditions. The machine’s 55 degree turning radius also ensures excellent maneuverability on congested and job sites.

A three-pump, four-valve hydraulic loop is designed to ensure that lifting and steering operations can occur seamlessly and simultaneously. Plus the machine’s hydraulic elements are centrally arranged for easier maintenance and service. To offer even greater versatility, the B877 can be equipped with a variety of attachments and tools to handle a diverse range of tasks, while there is a multi-purpose front bucket supplied with the machine as standard.
