Lincoln Lubrication South Africa (SA) has launched its new proprietary controller into southern Africa, the Autolube Universal Management System for controlling of all types of lubrication systems. The compact controller allows an end user to control and monitor just about any type of lubrication system available. It is also used for diagnosis of faults by Lincoln SA’s field service technicians.

The fully programmable controller has the capability of controlling progressive, single-line and dual line lubrication systems and can be fitted to virtually any size/type of system. One simply enters the type of system it’s connected to, enter the operational parameters required and the controller will ensure that all points are being monitored and that the correct quantities of grease are being dispensed. Innovative algorithms provide flexibility and greater control specifically for single and dual line systems.

For mobile machinery, operator outputs are directly available locally in the form of alarms, audible, visible, to mention a few, while for static plant applications, outputs to onward plant-wide PLC’s / SCADA systems are possible.

“All historical event data can be downloaded via a data shuttle inserted by a service person. Application Software is then used to interrogate system status and includes faults, fault acknowledgements, cycle counts and quantity of grease used,” says Dave Coates, national sales manager at Lincoln Lubrication SA. “The PLC also has the capability to have its status accessed and monitored, and even when settings are changed remotely via GSM data networks, giving the end user complete peace of mind that the greasing system is functioning 100%,’ he adds.
