Telematics offers the ability to integrate geolocation services within the vehicle platform.

Supporting its Dynamic Machine Control approach, Eaton is preparing to introduce several new features to its Pro-FX technology platform. The power management company’s Pro-FX telematics solutions will bring remote programming, diagnostics and geolocation capabilities to a vehicle’s electronic control system.

“Offering greater flexibility to our customers, Pro-FX telematics brings remote programming and diagnostics/prognostics to our existing controls solutions,” said Evan Artis, product manager for Electronic Controls & Software of Eaton. “An additional benefit of using telematics is the ability to integrate geolocation services within the vehicle platform.”

Enabling customers to balance hydraulic power generation with precise electronic control, Eaton’s Pro-FX software tools connect Pro-FX Ready electronic and electro-hydraulic product to a machine’s control system. These tools and products can be configured to interact, adapt and learn to optimise their performance in continually changing conditions.
