10 Terex mobile cranes for the DRC

MMS Cranes, the distributor of Terex Mobile Cranes, has delivered 10 Terex mobile cranes to a customer in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equipment Africa can today report.

Richard Terry, chief executive officer of MMS Cranes, says the value of the order totaled R52-million, and comprised two Terex 75 ton and three Terex 50 ton rough terrain cranes, as well as five Toplift 55 ton Chinese manufactured truck cranes.

“By crane industry standards, that’s a sizable order,” says Terry.  “Our customer is well acquainted with the brand, having acquired a fleet of Terex cranes over the years. We consider ourselves fortunate in a tough economic climate, having secured orders locally as well as in Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Malawi,” he says.

MMS is also the distributor of Terex Tower Cranes, Fuchs Material Handlers (Scrap & timber) and Broderson Carry Deck Yard Cranes.
